Sarah is a Fairfield University MFA candidate who writes about family, memory, estrangement, and the uncertain distance between what we remember and what can be known. She is writing a memoir and a one-act play, both concerned with the ways the past shapes the people we become.
THE MEMOIR
He Called Me Googie is an investigative journey into the circumstances surrounding her father's death and the path of self-discovery that followed. This memoir blends the rigor of investigative journalism with the intimacy of a personal narrative, exploring the complexities of memory and the search for truth.
THE ONE-ACT PLAY
Dear Donna follows Rose as she looks back at what she endured: domestic violence against her mother, then being molested by an older woman- things that shaped her adolescence and the person she became. Rose confronts the past, and heals alongside her younger selves.
